Follow the steps below to secure your personal and professional data.
🤖 Essential Security Settings
1️⃣ Set a Secure Screen Lock
- Go to Settings → Security → Screen Lock
- Choose a PIN, Password, or Pattern (avoid Swipe/None).
2️⃣ Enable Device Encryption
- Go to Settings → Security → Encryption & Credentials
- Ensure it says: "Encrypted". Follow on-screen steps if not enabled.
3️⃣ Enable Auto Software Updates
- Go to Settings → System → System Update
- Turn on Auto-Download and Install.
4️⃣ Activate Find My Device
- Go to Settings → Security → Find My Device
- Ensure this is enabled.
5️⃣ Enable Google Play Protect
- Go to Settings → Security → Google Play Protect
- Make sure scanning is ON.
6️⃣ Disable Unknown App Installs
- Go to Settings → Apps → Special Access
- Turn OFF Unknown Sources for apps.
7️⃣ Review App Permissions
- Go to Settings → Privacy → Permission Manager
- Adjust permissions for each app to ensure privacy.
8️⃣ Use Only Google Play Store
- Avoid downloading apps from third-party app stores.
9️⃣ Lock SIM with a PIN
- Go to Settings → Security → SIM Card Lock
- Set a PIN to secure your SIM.
🔟 Use Secure Backup (Google One)
- Go to Settings → System → Backup
- Enable Google One for secure cloud backups.
