How to Log into 1Password

(Desktop App, Browser Extension & Mobile)

Your 1Password account has already been set up for you.

The 1Password app should open automatically when you start your computer.

If it doesn’t:

➑️ Double-click the 1Password shortcut on your desktop to open it manually.

To log in:

  1. Open the app
  2. Enter your Master Password
  3. Press Enter β€” you're in!


🌐 Logging in via Browser Extension

Use this when autofilling passwords on websites.

To log in:

  1. Click the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar
  2. Enter your Master Password if prompted

Once unlocked, it stays open while you browse.

Open the 1Password app on your mobile device.

  • iPhone/Android: Use Face ID, fingerprint, or enter your Master Password

If something isn’t working, try one of these quick fixes:

  • πŸ”„ Restart your computer or phone β€” this often resolves the issue
  • πŸ” Quit and restart the desktop app:
  • Click the 1Password icon near the clock in the bottom-right (Windows system tray)
  • Right-click it and choose Quit
  • Then reopen the app and try logging in again
